Or really, something that we're involved in made the Times. We're not directly mentioned, but our books are in that box! Available to purchase via text message.
If we lived in Brooklyn, I'm sure 3rd Ward would be an important part of our lives. Seems like a great resource for folks with big ideas and small apartments. It looks like a hub for cool events, interesting classes, and impressive facilities. I wish I could attend their Drink&Draw night!

R&L Goods + Wooly Bison Bags = Velouria Trunk Show-stopper!
This Thursday and Saturday - get a double dose of Fall's best! I'm not talking about a farmers market - I'm talking about the seasonally appropriate bounty to be found at our trunk shows this week!
You'll see our notebooks and wallets - featuring the lovely hand printed textiles of Piano Nobile. I don't want to ruin the surprise - but we're working on something that just might revolutionize the accessory world as we know it! Not to oversell it or anything - but... it's shaping up to be pretty nice. And we're hustling to finalize some new hoodies and track jackets!
Also:
Ingrid from Wooly Bison Bags has cooked up another glorious set of satchels and cases from repurposed wool. She transforms old coats, pants, and skirts into timeless accessories for you and your gear!
It's like a little sleeping bag!
Slumber Party!
Ah yes, the details:
Thursday 11/11/10 ~ 5-8pm

AND

We'll be there - hitting the artichoke dip and sipping Rose-ay-hay! Hope to see you there!

Where to find us in Austin TX
If we were ACTually there - in our physical form - we'd be found ordering "dos carnitas por favor" at a taco truck, shopping at Spartan, cannonballing into Barton Springs, and catching a movie and some fried pickles at the Alamo Drafthouse. And eating BBQ.
What's the next best thing to finding us within Austin city limits? Finding our notebooks at Spartan on South Lamar! You'll also find the work of our fellow NY Gift fair booth buddies - Plainmade and Grain!
The Spartan Shop blog has been a regular visit for me of late. A fresh (to me) mix of fashion, art, photography, and music mentions. Just enough for a quick blog break when I'm wondering what's hot in Texas.

Nesting for Winter!
Mamabird Nests - a great catch-all for keys and treasures - or holiday/everyday decorative display. Handwoven by my talented mom in Boston!
Linen pouches - made from supple Vera Wang linen and cute canvas prints. Handy for gathering all the necessary bits rattling around in the bottom of your bag.
Custom Monogrammed Slippers!!! - A little something fantastic Jean whipped up in the shop while my back was turned. I have my double C's on order!
Plus new patterns and prints added to our popular notebook lineup!

I know, it's almost too much.

Used Banners + Totes = BOTE
Chika and I just recently made a batch of reusable shopping totes using salvaged banners. We're calling them BOTES!...get it? banner totes! We have a good amount of these banners and you can get them on our etsy for $30 each. We make each of them so that every single one possesses the unique graphics and distress marks from its previous life. Which makes them all that more appealing!

Most importantly, we like to support the reusable bag philosphy in order to lower the usage and production of plastic & paper bags. I do feel amazingly good when I whip out my own bags versus using 10 plastic bags that just rips apart right away. I hate that.
So here's to reusable shopping bags! It feels good to be good!
