R&L in 3D!

Check it out! We're loved! At least our notebook with pencil hole is loved by the team at 3D Artist Magazine - enough for them to put us in this sweet collection of gear for 3D creatives.

We shipped a sample all the way to their offices in the UK a little while back and it's nice to see our friend in print.

R&L goods at Remodelista Market Portland: JUNE 4th

We're so thrilled to be part of Remodelista market in Portland happening on JUNE 4th. The even will be hosted by Schoolhouse Electric! We can't wait to see Schoolhouse Electric's space and see all the things there! 

We're in the middle of doing some custom notebooks (will be done at end of June) for them and will be excited see how turn out!  

Also both R&L goods and Ladies & Gentlemen studio (so many ands!) will both be at this event! Double awesomeness!

We will have notebooks, wallets, and of course our button linen scarves!

Chikabird + Piano Nobile Line Debut this Weekend at UCU!

Isabelle and Nickolas of Piano Nobile runs a multi-faceted design studio where they could be described as professional designers and colalborators. Isabelle has a painting and printing background with a great sense of material, color, and texture. Nickolas on the other hand has an architecture background with mad building skills in all realms whether it be funiture, design build or a large scale printing table. I'm pretty sure he can build a pyramid.... I remember reading that in his resume somewhere....

Not only do they have the perfect print studio with their self-designed and welded textile printing set up, they're also just a short bike ride away from our studio in Ballard! It's almost too good to be true!
(and yes, convenience does matter...)

Did I mention that they have a dog named Bauhaus, and also owns a sweet vintage Vanagon and Volvo?
Can you stand it?!....I can barely keep my composure thinking about all their awesomeness.

Nesting for Winter!

Chikabird is nesting for Winter with some cozy new items available in the shop!

Mamabird Nests - a great catch-all for keys and treasures - or holiday/everyday decorative display. Handwoven by my talented mom in Boston!

Linen pouches - made from supple Vera Wang linen and cute canvas prints. Handy for gathering all the necessary bits rattling around in the bottom of your bag.

Custom Monogrammed Slippers!!! - A little something fantastic Jean whipped up in the shop while my back was turned. I have my double C's on order!

Plus new patterns and prints added to our popular notebook lineup!

I know, it's almost too much.

New randLFabric Notebooks

This is a new limited run of randLFabric notebooks using various printed cotton fabric. Both Chika and I have an affinity for cute printed fabric, and we're always looking for new ways to apply our fabric collection to Chikabird products. After we launched the new randLCanvas line, we thought why not cover it with adorable printed fabrics, too!

So here they are...colorful and lovely notebooks! This makes me want to go sit outside and just sketch all day...actually, I think I'll do that this weekend! Yay! T.G.I.F!
